SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative Departments

6-504.

(a) The Board shall be composed of [11] 15 individuals
appointed by the Governor, who shall designate the chairman,
including:

(1) 5 representatives of the hearing impaired;

(2) 4 representatives of telecommunications

providers; [and]

(3) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MOBILITY IMPAIRED
COMMUNITY WHO REQUIRES THE USE OF SPECIALIZED CUSTOMER PREMISES
EQUIPMENT;

(4) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SPEECH-IMPAIRED COMMUNITY
WHO REQUIRES THE USE OF SPECIALIZED CUSTOMER PREMISES EQUIPMENT;

(5) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN COMMUNITY
WHO REQUIRES THE USE OF SPECIALIZED CUSTOM PREMISES EQUIPMENT;

(6) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DEAF-BLIND COMMUNITY; AND
[(3)] (7) 2 representatives of government.

(b) (1) The term of a member is 3 years.

(2) The terms of members are staggered as required by
the terms provided for members of the Board on July 1, 1988.
