9-207. ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES; DISPOSITION OF MONEY.

(A)  ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES.

THE BOARD SHALL SET REASONABLE FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE AND
RENEWAL OF LICENSES AND PERMITS.

(B)  DISPOSITION OF MONEY.

THE AUTHORIZED EXPENSES OF THE BOARD SHALL BE PAYABLE ONLY
OUT OF THE MONEY THAT THE BOARD COLLECTS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
former Art. 56, § 278(c), as that subsection related
to fees.

Subsection (b) of this section formerly appeared as
the second sentence of Art. 56, § 278(h).

In subsection (a) of this section, the reference to
"permit" fees is added to conform to §§ 9-405(a)(2)
and 9-408(c)(2) of this title.

The only other changes are in style.

The first sentence of former Art. 56, § 278(h), which
imposed on the Board the duty to "receive" fees, is
revised in various sections of this title as a duty to
pay fees to the Board.

SUBTITLE 3. LICENSE.

9-301. LICENSE REQUIRED; EXCEPTIONS.

(A) IN GENERAL.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, AN INDIVIDUAL
SHALL BE LICENSED BY THE BOARD BEFORE THE INDIVIDUAL MAY PRACTICE
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE IN THE STATE.
