AN ACT concerning

Organizations and Associations - Liability

FOR the purpose of altering a certain definition including
certain associations in the definition of "community
association" that is used to determine for purposes of
determining the liability of certain community associations
and agents of the community associations.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

5-312.

(a) (1) In this section the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(5) (I) "Community association" means a:

1. A nonprofit association, corporation,
or other organization comprised of residents of a community,
which is operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare
and general neighborhood improvement and enhancement[, that is
