AN ACT concerning

Minor Employees - Handling Transporting of

Funds Prohibited Under

Certain Conditions

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the employment of a minor to
transport cash or negotiable instruments to a location other
than the establishment at which the minor is ordinarily
employed, prohibiting the use of a minor in employment
connected with amounts of money larger than necessary to
negotiate change, unless a cash depository with certain
safeguard is available on the premises; prohibiting a minor
from transporting business funds subject to a certain
exception to or from a business establishment any money,

checks, or negotiable instruments under certain

circumstances; exempting certain minors from the provisions
of this Act under certain circumstances; and generally
relating to the employment of minors in the handling
transporting of money funds.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 100 - Work, Labor and Employment

(a)  As used in this subtitle, the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(b)   "Minor" means a person under the age of 18.
