(d) The Garrett County beer tax rate is, in addition to the
rate under subsection (c) of this section:

(1)   2 cents for a beer container of 12 ounces or less
or 0.3549 liters or less;

[(2) 5 1/3 cents for a beer container of more than 12
ounces but not more than 32 ounces or 0.3549 liters but not more
than 0.9463 liters; and

(3) 6 cents for each gallon or fraction of a gallon
for a beer container of more than 32 ounces or 0.9463 liters.]

(2)  3 CENTS FOR A BEER CONTAINER OF MORE THAN 12
OUNCES OR 0.3549 LITERS BUT NOT MORE THAN 23 OUNCES OR 0.6802
LITERS;

(3)  4 CENTS FOR A BEER CONTAINER OF MORE THAN 2 3
OUNCES OR 0.6802 LITERS BUT NOT MORE THAN 31 OUNCES OR 0.9168
LITERS;

(4)  6 CENTS FOR A BEER CONTAINER OF MORE THAN 31
OUNCES OR 0.9168 LITERS BUT NOT MORE THAN 40 OUNCES OR 1.183
LITERS; AND

(5)  7 CENTS FOR A GALLON OR FRACTION OF A GALLON FOR
A BEER CONTAINER OF MORE THAN 40 OUNCES OR 1.183 LITERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning

Vessels - Maximum Noise Levels

FOR the purpose of prohibiting certain persons from operating on
the tidal waters of the State a vessel that exceeds certain
noise levels; providing certain exceptions; authorizing the
Department of Natural Resources to adopt certain regulations
for certain purposes; prohibiting an owner or lessee of a
vessel from allowing the operation of the vessel on tidal
waters of the State in violation of this Act; providing
certain penalties for violations of this Act; providing for
