WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor
Ch. 3
In subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to "additional examinations as the volume of
applications makes appropriate" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the phrase "at least".
In subsection (d)(3) and (4) of this section, the
references to the "written part" and "practical part"
are substituted for the former reference to the
"examination required under § 514" and the
"examination", to clarify the scope of each part.
Accordingly, the reference, in former Art. 56, §
515(b)(3), to "[t]heory" of masking methodology is
included in subsection (d)(3)(v) of this section.
In subsection (e)(1) of this section, the phrase "at
least" is added to clarify that the Board may change
the examination more often if the Board so desires.
Former Art. 56, § 524(2) and (7), which required the
Board to supervise : and administer examinations but
allowed it to appoint persons to conduct or supervise
the examinations, and the reference, in former Art.
56, § 514(a), to examination before "such persons" as
the Board designates are deleted as unnecessary since,
with these deletions, nothing in this title purports
to require the Board to administer examinations itself
or to preclude the Board from delegating its
responsibilities with regard to examinations.
Former Art. 56, § 514(c), which required licensure,
without examination, for certain persons who were in
practice before July 1, 1969, is transferred to the
Session Laws. See the General Revisor's Note to this
title.
