(3) may not be affiliated directly or indirectly with
any [school of] cosmetology SCHOOL;

5-305.

(c)  An applicant for a limited license to provide esthetic
services shall:

(3) have received training by:

(i) [successfully completing a required program
in providing esthetic services in a cosmetology school that holds
a school permit; or

(ii)] serving as a registered apprentice for at
least 3 months, in a beauty salon that holds a beauty salon
permit and under the supervision of a licensed cosmetologist or
a holder of a limited license to provide esthetic services; OR

(II) SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING A REQUIRED PROGRAM
IN PROVIDING ESTHETIC SERVICES IN A COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL THAT:

1.  HOLDS A SCHOOL PERMIT; OR

2.  HOLDS A PERMIT ISSUED BY ANOTHER STATE
IF THE STATE HAS STANDARDS SUBSTANTIALLY EQUIVALENT TO OR MORE
STRINGENT THAN THE STANDARDS UNDER §§ 5-512 AND 5-513 OF THIS
TITLE.

(d)  An applicant for a limited license to provide
manicuring services shall:

(2) have received training by:

(i) [successfully completing at least 100 hours
of instruction in providing manicuring services in a cosmetology
school that holds a school permit; or

(ii)] serving as a registered apprentice for at
least 3 months, in a beauty salon that holds a beauty salon
permit and under the supervision of a licensed cosmetologist or a
holder of a limited license to provide manicuring services; OR

(II) SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING AT LEAST 100 HOURS
OF INSTRUCTION IN PROVIDING MANICURING SERVICES IN A COSMETOLOGY
SCHOOL THAT:

1.  HOLDS A SCHOOL PERMIT; OR

2.  HOLDS A PERMIT ISSUED BY ANOTHER STATE
IF THE STATE HAS STANDARDS SUBSTANTIALLY EQUIVALENT TO OR MORE
STRINGENT THAN THE STANDARDS UNDER §§ 5-512 AND 5-513 OF THIS
TITLE.
