EXCEPT THAT THE NUMBER OF INSPECTORS MAY NOT BE LESS THAN 14.
The salary SALARIES SHALL BE AS DETERMINED BY "BALTIMORE COUNTY,
MARYLAND", BUT THE SALARY of [the chief license inspector may
not be less than $8,000 per annum $9,500 A YEAR and the salary
of] each [of the remaining] license [inspectors]
INSPECTOR may not be less than [$7,500 per annum] $10,000 $9,000
A YEAR. Each license inspector [and the Chief License
Inspector] may request and examine any identification used as
proof of age by any person for the purchase of alcoholic
beverages provided that the request and examination is made on
the licensed premises in Baltimore County.
(2) In Baltimore County, in addition to the other
powers and duties conferred on them, the board of license
commissioners may prescribe rules and regulations regarding the
presence of any person not designated under § 2(t) of this
article on any premises licensed to sell alcoholic beverages; and
also may prescribe rules and regulations concerning the granting
and the date of issuing licenses when the actual use of the
license is to be deferred until the completion of construction
work or alterations on the premises.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the current chairman and associate members of the Baltimore
County Board of License Commissioners in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the
salary or compensation of the chairman and associate members of
the Baltimore County Board of License Commissioners shall take
effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1989.
