the salary of alcoholic beverage license commissioners and
inspectors in Baltimore County; deleting certain references
to a chief license inspector providing that this Act does
not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent
members of the Board; and clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OP
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

155.

(e)  (1) In Baltimore County the salaries of the members of
the board of license commissioners shall be as determined from
time to time by "Baltimore County, Maryland", in such amounts as
are deemed reasonable and proper, but the annual salary of the
chairman shall be not less than [$10,000] $11,500 and the annual
salary of each of the associate members shall be not less than
[$9,000] $10,500.

158.

(a)  The several boards of license commissioners herewith
are authorized and empowered to issue the alcoholic beverages
licenses provided for by this article in their respective
jurisdictions.

(b)  The respective board shall be authorized to employ a
secretary and such inspectors, clerical and other assistance as
may be necessary, and to fix the compensation of such employees,
except as otherwise provided by this article.

(f)  (1) The board of license commissioners for Baltimore
County [is authorized to] MAY appoint [a chief license
inspector and such other] THE NUMBER OF license inspectors [as]
THAT the board [from time to time deems] CONSIDERS necessary,
