SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

1-205.

(A) EACH HEALTH OCCUPATION BOARD SHALL MAY CONSIDER
REGIONAL AND NATIONAL AVERAGES OF HEALTH OCCUPATIONS LICENSING
FEES WHEN THE BOARD EVALUATES THE AMOUNT THAT CONSTITUTES A
REASONABLE FEE FOR THE ISSUANCE AND RENEWAL OF LICENSES AND ITS
OTHER SERVICES.

(B) FEES CHARGED BY EACH HEALTH OCCUPATION BOARD SHALL BE
SUFFICIENT TO FUND ITS TOTAL OPERATING COSTS INCURRED DURING THE
LICENSING PERIOD.

(a) (1) [Except for the fees specifically set by this
title, the] THE Board shall set reasonable fees for the issuance
and renewal of licenses and its other services.

2-308.

(c) Before the license expires, the licensee periodically
may renew it for an additional 2-year term, if the licensee:

(1)  Otherwise is entitled to be licensed;

(2)  Pays to the Board a renewal fee [of $20] SET BY
THE BOARD; and

(3)  Submits to the Board:

(i) A renewal application on the form that the
Board requires; and

(ii) Satisfactory evidence of compliance with
any continuing education requirement set under this section for
license renewal.

(d) The Board may renew the limited license once for an
additional 1-year term, if the holder:

(1)  Otherwise meets the requirements of this section;

(2)  Submits a renewal application to the Board on the
form that the Board requires; and
