(1)   in developing technical details necessary for the
preparation of the Capital Improvement Program for any unit of
the State government; and

(2)  in any regional study relating to land
acquisition, dedication, lease, transfer, and the like.

4-407.

(b) (1) The Department of General Services shall establish
general policies and standards for maintenance and repair of
public improvements.

(2) On or before December 31 of each year the
Department of General Services shall send any changes to these
general policies and standards to:

(i) the Board of Public Works; AND

(ii) the Department of Budget and Fiscal
Planning[; and

(iii) the Department of State Planning].

4-408.

(a)  On or before May 31 of each year, each unit of the
State government shall send a report on the condition of each
public improvement under its jurisdiction to:

(1)  the Department of Budget and Fiscal Planning; AND

(2)   the Department of General Services[; and

(3)  the Department of State Planning].

(b)  The report shall:

(1)  identify the public improvement; and

(2)  state whether the public improvement is being
maintained in accordance with the policies and standards
established by the Department of General Services.

(c)  With the assistance of the Department of Budget and
Fiscal Planning [and the Department of State Planning], the
Department of General Services shall recommend measures necessary
to correct deficiencies in the maintenance and repair programs.
