LAWS OF MARYLAND

To the extent possible, new language added by Ch. 648 and
existing law retained by Ch. 548 were conformed to the other
titles proposed for inclusion on enactment of this article.
Therefore, only minor changes have been necessary in the revision
of this title.

During the 1988 session, the General Assembly also enacted
Ch. 131, which added former Art. 56, § 542B to provide for
termination of the provisions on electricians contained in Art.
56, in 1993, subject to reestablishment under the Md. Program
Evaluation Act. Since Ch. 648, Acts of 1988, repealed all of the
provisions to which former Art. 56, § 542B was to have applied
and added a substantially similar provision -- now § 6-702 of
this title -- former Art. 56, § 542B is deleted.

TITLE 7. FORESTERS.
SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS. '^:
7-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF FORESTERS.

The name of the Board is conformed to the substantive
provision that creates the Board. See the revisor's
note to § 7-201 of this title.

(C)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE, A
LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE FORESTRY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
avoid repetition of phrases such as "license to
practice forestry".
