LAWS OF MARYLAND

WHEREAS, The definition of "game birds or mammals" in §
10-101(h) of the Natural Resources Article contains the list of
mammals that are included in the definition of "game mammal";
now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

10-101.

(a) In this title, the following words have the meanings
indicated.

(e) "Forest game birds and mammals" means forest game birds
(ruffed grouse and turkey) and forest game mammals (black bears,
deer, fox squirrels, excluding the Delmarva subspecies, and gray
and red squirrels) or any part, egg, offspring, or dead body of
any of them.

(g) "Fur-bearing mammal" means any raccoon, opossum,
beaver, mink, muskrat, otter, fox, skunk, fisher, and long-tailed
weasel, or any part, offspring, or dead body of any of them.

(h) "Game birds or mammals" means the     species     defined as

forest game birds and mammals, fur-bearing   mammals,   upland game

birds and mammals, and wetland game birds     or any     part, egg,
offspring, or dead body of any of them.

(u) "Upland game birds and mammals" means   upland game birds

(blackbirds, crows, doves, pheasant, quail,   and woodcock) and

upland game mammals (rabbit and hare) or     any part, egg,
offspring, or dead body of any of them.

[(h) Any person who hunts deer and any person who
accompanies, aids, or assists another person hunting deer, shall
wear either a cap, vest, or jacket or a jacket containing back
and front panels of a daylight fluorescent orange color. This
section does not apply to any person who hunts on his property
without a hunter's license nor to any person hunting deer with a
bow and arrow during the season restricted to hunting with a bow
and arrow.]

(A) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY PERSON WHO:

(1) HUNTS ANY GAME MAMMAL WILDLIFE ON THE PERSON'S
PROPERTY WITHOUT WITH OR WITHOUT A HUNTER'S LICENSE; OR
