BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 28(j)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

28.

(j) (1) [(i)] In Anne Arundel County, the board of license
commissioners may issue a Class BWT beer and wine (on-premise)
tasting license OR A WS WINE SAMPLING (ON-PREMISE) PERMIT.

[(ii)] (2) (I) A Class BWT license may only be
issued to a holder of a Class BWL beer, wine and liquor
(on-premise) license or a Class BW beer and wine (on-sale)
license.

[(iii)] (II) The annual fee for a Class BWT
license is:

1.  $50 for a holder of a Class BWL
license; and

2.  $50 for a holder of a Class BW
license.

[(iv)] (III) The annual fee for a Class BWT
license is in addition to the Class BWL or BW annual fee.

[(v)] (IV) The Class BWT license authorizes a
holder to permit the on-premise consumption of the following
alcoholic beverages for tasting or sampling purposes only:

1.  Light wine to be served in a quantity
of not more than 1 ounce from each given brand to any one person;
and

2.  Beer to be served in a quantity of not
more than 3 ounces to any one person.

(3) (I) THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY ISSUE A WS (WINE SAMPLING) PERMIT TO BONA FIDE
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
