LAWS OF MARYLAND

(ii) a judgment or settlement has been entered
granting the claimant damages to the full amount of coverage
under Title 9 of the State Finance and Procurement Article; and

(iii) the Board of Public Works, with the
advice and counsel of the Attorney General, has approved the
payment.

(2) Any payment of part of a settlement or judgment
under this subsection does not abrogate the sovereign immunity of
the State or any units beyond the waiver provided in subsections
(a) and (b) off this section.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

(House Bill 377)

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - State Agencies and Political Subdivisions -

Regulation of Towing

FOR the purpose of authorizing political subdivisions of the
State and certain State agencies to adopt ordinances and
regulations to regulate the towing of vehicles from publicly
owned and privately owned parking lots; and generally
relating to the regulation of towing vehicles from parking
lots.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
