for that class of vehicle, the full annual registration fee shall
be paid.

(2) If the registration of a vehicle is issued on or
after the first day of the seventh month of the registration year
for that class of vehicle, only [one half] ONE-HALF of the annual
registration need be paid.

(C) IF THE REGISTRATION OF A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE IN EXCESS

of 10,000 26,000 POUNDS IS ISSUED FOR A PERIOD OF LESS THAN THE

FULL ANNUAL REGISTRATION YEAR, THE REGISTRATION FEE TO BE PAID
SHALL BE ONE-TWELFTH OF THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE MULTIPLIED BY
THE NUMBER OF MONTHS REMAINING IN THE REGISTRATION YEAR INCLUDING

THE MONTH WITHIN WHICH THE REGISTRATION TAKES EFFECT. BE

ONE-QUARTER OF THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE MULTIPLIED BY THE
NUMBER OF QUARTERS REMAINING IN THE REGISTRATION YEAR INCLUDING
THE QUARTER WITHIN WHICH THE REGISTRATON REGISTRATION TAKES
EFFECT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989 January 1 , 1990.

(House Bill 325)

AN ACT concerning

Controlled Hazardous Substances - Enforcement
and Removal

FOR the purpose of altering a certain definition relative to
controlled hazardous substances to conform to federal
regulation; authorizing the Attorney General to bring an
action to recover certain payments of interest for certain
unpaid reimbursable costs; altering the circumstances under
which the Secretary of the Environment may take certain
actions regarding the release or threatened release of a
controlled hazardous substance into the environment;
authorizing the Secretary to take certain other action if
certain entry is denied; authorizing the Department to
collect certain samples and enter a facility under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to the regulation of
controlled hazardous substances.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
