"School permit" § 5-101
5-522. DISPLAY OF PERMITS.

(A)  BEAUTY SALONS.

EACH BEAUTY SALON PERMIT HOLDER SHALL DISPLAY THE BEAUTY
SALON PERMIT CONSPICUOUSLY IN THE BEAUTY SALON FOR WHICH THE
PERMIT IS ISSUED.

(B)  COSMETOLOGY SCHOOLS.

EACH SCHOOL PERMIT HOLDER SHALL DISPLAY THE SCHOOL PERMIT
CONSPICUOUSLY IN THE COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL FOR WHICH THE PERMIT IS
ISSUED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first sentence of
former Art. 56, § 502, as that sentence related to
principal offices.

The references to the beauty salon or cosmetology
school "for which the permit is issued" are
substituted for the former reference to the "principal
office" in light of the requirement for a separate
permit for each beauty salon or school.

5-523. DENIALS, REPRIMANDS, SUSPENSIONS, REVOCATIONS, AND
PENALTIES.

(A) GROUNDS.

SUBJECT TO THE HEARING PROVISIONS OF § 5-524 OF THIS
SUBTITLE, THE BOARD MAY DENY A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT OR SCHOOL
PERMIT TO ANY APPLICANT, REPRIMAND ANY PERMIT HOLDER, OR SUSPEND
OR REVOKE A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT OR SCHOOL PERMIT:

(1)  FOR ANY APPLICABLE GROUND UNDER § 5-320 OF THIS
TITLE;

(2)  IF A SCHOOL PERMIT HOLDER VIOLATES ANY APPLICABLE
STANDARD SPECIFIED IN § 5-512, § 5-513, OR § 5-514 OF THIS
SUBTITLE;

(3)  IF THE APPLICANT OR HOLDER FRAUDULENTLY OR
DECEPTIVELY OBTAINS OR ATTEMPTS TO OBTAIN A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT
OR SCHOOL PERMIT FOR THE APPLICANT OR HOLDER OR FOR ANOTHER; OR
