(B) (1) WITHIN ONE YEAR AFTER THE ACQUISITION, THE
DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL SHALL CLASSIFY AND RECLASSIFY THE VARIOUS
POSITIONS.
(2) THE THEN INCUMBENTS OF THE POSITIONS WHO ARE
EMPLOYED AT THE TIME OF THE ACQUISITION SHALL CONTINUE TO HOLD
THEIR POSITIONS WITHOUT FURTHER EXAMINATION AND SHALL HAVE ALL
THE RIGHTS OF THE CLASS TO WHICH THE POSITIONS ARE ALLOCATED BUT
SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SERVE THE REQUISITE PROBATION PERIOD.
(3) (I) ANY EXISTING EMPLOYEE WHO FAILS TO SERVE THE
PROBATION PERIOD SHALL BE TERMINATED FROM EMPLOYMENT WITH THE
AGENCY AND A VACANCY SHALL BE DEEMED TO EXIST.
(II) AFTER THE ACQUISITION, ALL NEW POSITIONS
THEREAFTER CREATED AND VACANCIES OCCURRING IN POSITIONS ALREADY
ESTABLISHED SHALL BE FILLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS ARTICLE AND
THE RULES ADOPTED UNDER THIS ARTICLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

Income Tax— Maryland Tax Court - Appeals - Enforceability
of Orders
FOR the purpose of clarifying that an order certain orders of the
Maryland Tax Court is subject to enforcement are enforceable
under certain circumstances; and generally relating to
income tax appeals from certain orders of the Maryland Tax
Court.
