SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

336.

(a)  The registration fee for professional land surveyors is
[$135] $255, of which $105 shall accompany the application, and
[$30] $150 shall be paid on issuance of the certificate.

(b)  (1) Before July 1, 1990, the registration fee for a
property line surveyor is $100, of which $80 shall accompany the
application, and $20 shall be paid on issuance of the
certificate.

(2) On or after July 1, 1990, the Board may not
register any new applicants as property line surveyors.

(c)  Certificates of registration shall expire on the last
day of June of each odd-numbered year, and shall be invalid after
that date unless renewed. The secretary of the Board shall notify
by regular mail every person certified under this subtitle of the
date of expiration of his certificate, and the amount of the fee
required for its biennial renewal. The notice shall be mailed to
the registrant at his last known address at least one month in
