(2) to practice cosmetology in accordance with §
5-302 OR § 5-303 of this title.

5-407.

(a)  Subject to the hearing provisions of § 5-408 of this
subtitle, the Board may deny registration as a student or
apprentice to any applicant, reprimand any individual registered
as a student or apprentice, or suspend or revoke the registration
of an individual:

(1)  for any applicable ground under § 5-320 of this
title;

(2)   if the applicant or individual fraudulently or
deceptively obtains or attempts to obtain registration for the
applicant or individual or for another; or

(3)   if the applicant or individual, fraudulently or
deceptively uses a certificate of registration.

(b)  Instead of or in addition to suspending or revoking [a]
THE registration OF A STUDENT, the Board may impose a penalty not
exceeding $500.

5-408.

(e) (1) The Board may issue a subpoena for the attendance
of a witness TO TESTIFY or the production of evidence in
connection with any proceeding under this section.

(a) Except as provided in §§ 5-302 and 5-303 of this
[subtitle] TITLE and subsection (b) of this section, a person may
not practice cosmetology in any place other than:

(1)  a beauty salon that holds a beauty salon permit;
or

(2)  a barbershop that holds a barbershop permit
issued under Title 4 of this article, if the practice is
conducted under the supervision of an individual licensed to
manage a beauty salon.
