[(c)] (B) In Caroline, Cecil, Charles, Harford, Kent,
Queen Anne's, St. Mary's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and
Worcester counties, and in Baltimore City, a manufacturer or
wholesaler may not sell any beer to any retail dealer except for
cash on delivery. A suit or action ex contractu to enforce or
collect any claim for credit extended in violation of this
section may not be maintained in this State.
[(d)] (C) Any person or persons, upon indictment and
conviction of violation of any of the provisions of this section,
shall be fined a sum not in excess of two hundred dollars
($200.00) or shall be confined in the Worcester County jail or in
the Maryland House of Correction for a period not to exceed one
year, or be both fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the
court.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
