(House Bill 450)

AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - Alcoholic Beverages License -
Conference Center

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Queen Anne's County Board of
License Commissioners to issue a Class B beer, wine and
liquor on-sale license for use in a conference center;
requiring the conference center to meet certain
qualifications; providing for the scope of the license;
establishing an annual license fee; exempting licensure of a
conference center from certain corporate stock ownership
provisions; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages
licensure of a conference center in Queen Anne's County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

19.

(t) (1) (I) In Queen Anne's County the annual fee for this
license is $1,000.

[(2)] (II) This license provides for the consumption
of wine and liquor on the premises only.

(2) (I) THE QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY ISSUE A CLASS B BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR ON-SALE
LICENSE FOR USE IN A CONFERENCE CENTER.

(II) TO QUALIFY FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS
PARAGRAPH, THE CONFERENCE CENTER SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING
FACILITIES TO ACCOMMODATE AT LEAST 100 PERSONS:

1.  A KITCHEN FACILITY;

2.  A DINING FACILITY; AND

3.  OVERNIGHT FACILITIES.
