AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Delivery of Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a Worcester County retail
alcoholic beverages licensee from delivering alcoholic
beverages outside of the licensed premises; and providing an
exception to this prohibition.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 130(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

130.

(a) (1) In Worcester County it is unlawful for any licensee
under this article to employ any person under the age of 21 years
in the sale of alcoholic beverages, unless a permit is obtained
from the Sheriff and State's Attorney of Worcester County.
However it is lawful to employ persons between 18 and 21 years of
age for the purpose of the sale of beer and light wine without
obtaining a permit.

(2) EXCEPT FOR EVENTS CATERED BY A LICENSEE HOLDING A
CATERER'S LICENSE A RETAIL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSEE IN
WORCESTER COUNTY MAY NOT DELIVER ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OUTSIDE
OF THE LICENSED PREMISES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
