(House Bill 258)

AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - Alcoholic Beverages License

FOR the purpose of authorizing the off-sale of beer in Queen
Anne's County under a Class D beer, wine and liquor license;
and providing that certain existing license holders shall
have this off-sale privilege as of the effective date of
this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 21(m)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

21.

(m) In Queen Anne's County, a Class D beer, wine and liquor
[(on-sale)] (ON- AND LIMITED OFF-SALE) license may be issued:

(1)  For on-premises consumption AND THE OFF-SALE OF
BEER only; and

(2)  For an annual fee of $1,800.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That a holder of a
Queen Anne's County Class D beer, wine and liquor (on-sale)
license on July 1, 1989 shall have the additional license
privilege of selling beer for off-premises consumption that is
created by Section 1 of this Act.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
