REAL AND PERSONAL property[, real and personal,] THAT IS subject
to taxation by [said] THE municipal corporations and located
within the confines of Queen Anne's County, according to the
assessment books or tax rolls of [said] THE municipal
corporations on the last day of the preceding year.

(B)   In order to qualify for [said] THE funds, [said] THE
municipal corporations [shall], before the first Monday in
February of each year, SHALL certify in writing to [said] THE
County Commissioners the total amount of assessed REAL AND
PERSONAL property!, real and personal,] THAT IS subject to
taxation by [said] THE municipal corporations and located within
the confines of Queen Anne's County, according to the assessment
books or tax rolls of [said] THE municipal corporations on the
last day of the preceding year.

(C)   [Said] THE funds paid under this section are for the
purpose of [constructing, maintaining and repairing the public
highways and bridges] OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE within the limits
of [said] THE municipal corporations and located within the
confines of Queen Anne's County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the caption to
Section 1-703 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Queen Anne's
County (1983 Edition and 1986 Supplement), entitled "Road
payments to towns", be altered to be "Payments to incorporated
towns" when the next edition or supplement to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Queen Anne's County is published.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
