office coincides with the Sheriff's and he may be removed by the
Sheriff at any time. The Sheriff may appoint additional deputies
as he and the County Council of Wicomico County deem necessary,
each of whom shall receive the compensation prescribed by the
personnel rules and regulations of the county.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the Sheriff of Wicomico County in office on the effective date
of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary
or compensation of the Sheriff of Wicomico County shall take
effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Appearance Fees

FOR the purpose of altering the name of a certain appearance fees
account in Worcester County; altering the purposes for which
the account may be used and the circumstances under which
the account may be disbursed; making stylistic changes; and
generally relating to appearance fees in Worcester County.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
