REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language added to introduce the basic requirements for
an applicant for a barbershop permit.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, § 434,
as that section related to ownership.

Subsection (c) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from the second sentence of
former Art. 56, § 429(d).

Subsection (d) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first and second
clauses of the fifth sentence of former Art. 56, §
429(d).

Subsection (c) of this section is revised to clarify
that the onus of satisfying the Board falls on the
applicant.

Subsection (d) of this section is revised to state
expressly that not only must a pre-opening inspection
be conducted but the barbershop must pass the
inspection before it can open for business.

4-503. APPLICATIONS FOR BARBERSHOP PERMITS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

AN APPLICANT FOR A BARBERSHOP PERMIT SHALL:

(1)  SUBMIT TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION ON THE FORM
THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES; AND

(2)  PAY TO THE BOARD:

(I)  AN APPLICATION FEE OF $10; AND

(II)  A PRE-OPENING INSPECTION FEE OF $30.

(B)  SEPARATE APPLICATION AND FEES FOR EACH BARBERSHOP.

FOR EACH BARBERSHOP PERMIT FOR WHICH A PERSON APPLIES, THE
PERSON SHALL SUBMIT A SEPARATE APPLICATION AND PAY SEPARATE
APPLICATION AND PRE-OPENING INSPECTION FEES.
