WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                       Ch. 2

All obligations incurred under [the provisions of] this
subtitle shall mature, and must be paid, within [two] 2 years
[from] AFTER the date when [said] THE obligations were incurred.

[268.] 9-108. PROHIBITION.

[(a)] No county [of this State shall incur an indebtedness
for the purposes as set forth in this subtitle, and under the
provisions of this subtitle, in excess of an aggregate amount
equal to the total estimated amount which would be raised by a
levy of 8¢ on the county tax rate.

(b) No incorporated town or city of this State] OR
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION shall incur an indebtedness for the
purposes [as] set forth in § 9-101 OF this subtitle, and under
[the provisions of] this subtitle, in excess of an aggregate
amount equal to the total estimated amount [which] THAT would be
raised by a levy of [8¢] 8 CENTS on the [incorporated city or
town] PROPERTY tax rate FOR THAT COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.

[269.] 9-109. TAX TO REPAY INDEBTEDNESS.

[(a) The county commissioners of each] EACH county [which
shall have availed itself of the provisions of this subtitle by
borrowing money or incurring indebtedness on its individual faith
and credit are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to levy
county taxes of an amount not in excess of 8¢ on each one hundred
dollars ($100.00) of assessable property subject to county taxes,
to be collected according to law in such amount as will repay in
full with interest the money borrowed or indebtedness incurred
under this subtitle by such county within two years after said
indebtedness was incurred.

(b) The taxing body or bodies of each incorporated town or
city of this State which shall have availed] OR MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION THAT AVAILS itself of the provisions of this subtitle
by borrowing money or incurring indebtedness on its individual
faith and credit [are hereby authorized, empowered and directed
to] SHALL levy [town or city taxes of an amount] A TAX not [in
excess of 8¢] EXCEEDING 8 CENTS on each [one hundred dollars
($100.00)] $100 of assessable property[,] subject to [town or
city taxes] THE PROPERTY TAX OF THAT COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, to be collected according to law, in [such] AN
amount [as] THAT will repay in full with interest the money or
indebtedness incurred under this subtitle by [such town or city]
THE COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, within the period of [two] 2
years after [said] THE indebtedness was incurred.

[270.] 9-110. ADMINISTRATION OF REVENUE.

(A) The administration, [expenditure] EXPENDITURE, and
accounting of all sum or sums raised, borrowed, or obtained by
any county under [the provisions of] this subtitle shall be
subject to the control of the county commissioners[,] or [such
