MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

may acquire and own property outside of the corporate limits of
the Town as well as inside; and

Amending Section 1202 "Condemnation" to provide that the
Town has power to condemn property outside its corporate limits
as well as inside and adding to the end of said section reference
to the appropriate portion of the Maryland Constitution.

of North East, Cecil County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

CHARTER RESOLUTION AMENDMENT NO. 1987-1

SUBJECT: "Referendum."

Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of
the Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended, to amend
the Charter of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, the amendment to
be entitled: "Referendum" by repealing and reenacting with
amendment to certain section of the Charter of the Town of Ocean
City, Maryland. This amendment shall have the effect of
providing that an emergency ordinance shall be effective for
sixty (60) days following receipt of a referendum petition.

[Section(s) C-411 of the Charter of the Town of Ocean City,
Worcester County, as found in the compilation of Municipal
Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

Effective Date July 21, 1987]
