AN ACT concerning
Nursing Shortage Health Occupations -
Health Occupations— Shortage Projections
FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene State Board of Nursing Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene to conduct certain surveys and make certain
projections of employment vacancy rates at certain hospitals
and related institutions; defining certain terms; requiring
the Secretary Board Secretary to annually report to certain
persons on the number and types of areas of shortage and the
projected statewide employment vacancy rates at hospitals
and related institutions; requiring certain boards and
commissions the State Board of Nursing certain boards and
commissions to provide the Secretary General Assembly, the
State Board for Higher Education, and the State Board for
Community Colleges Secretary with certain information;
providing for the termination of this Act; and generally
relating to estimates of nursing employment vacancy rates at
hospitals and related institutions.

INDICATED:
(1) "HEALTH OCCUPATION" MEANS NURSES,
CYTOTECHNOLOGISTS, HOSPITAL PHARMACISTS, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS,
PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, RADIATION TECHNOLOGISTS, AND RESPIRATORS
THERAPISTS WHO ARE LICENSED OR CERTIFIED UNDER THIS ARTICLE OR BY
