VETOES
(A) (1) IN THIS SUBSECTION, "OFFICER" INCLUDES A
SUPERINTENDENT, MANAGER, AND AGENT OF A CORPORATION REGARDLESS OF
WHETHER IT ENGAGES IN THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING HEATING,
VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING, AND REFRIGERATION SERVICES.
(2) A PERSON, INCLUDING AN OFFICER, WHO VIOLATES ANY
PROVISION OF THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE IS GUILTY OF
A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT
EXCEEDING $50 FOR EACH DAY OR PART OF EACH DAY THAT THE VIOLATION
CONTINUES:
(I) § 632 OF THIS SUBTITLE;
(I) (II) § 634 633 OF THIS SUBTITLE;
(II) (III) § 635 634 OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND
(III) (IV) § 636 635 OF THIS SUBTITLE.
(B) ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY AND WILLFULLY VIOLATES ANY
PROVISION OF § 630 629 OF THIS SUBTITLE IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING
$1,000 OR IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING 6 MONTHS OR BOTH.

THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND HEATING,
VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING, AND REFRIGERATION ACT".
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any provision
of this Act or the application thereof to any person or
circumstance is held invalid for any reason in a court of
competent jurisdiction, the invalidity does not affect other
provisions or any other application of this Act which can be
given effect without the invalid provision or application, and
for this purpose the provisions of this Act are declared
severable.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms of the
initial members of the Board of Heating, Ventilation, Air
Conditioning, and Refrigeration shall expire as follows:
(1) 3 members in 1990;
(2) 3 members in 1991; and
(3) 3 members in 1992.
SECTION 3 SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That §§ 607
through 613 of Article 56 of this Act shall take effect October
