Speaker and approved by majority vote of the House; OR

2. IF A DELEGATE SIMULTANEOUSLY SERVES IN
2 OF THE POSITIONS SET FORTH IN ITEMS (II) THROUGH (IX),
INCLUSIVE, OF THIS PARAGRAPH, 4 OTHER DELEGATES, APPOINTED BY THE
SPEAKER AND APPROVED BY MAJORITY VOTE OF THE HOUSE.

(b) (1) As far as possible, the [5] senators appointed by
the President, UNDER SUBSECTION (A)(1)(IX) OF THIS SECTION, shall
be representative of the various sections and interests of the
State.

(2) As far as possible, the [3] delegates appointed
by the Speaker, UNDER SUBSECTION (A)(2)(XI) OF THIS SECTION,
shall be representative of the various sections and interests of
the State.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public health and safety, has been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect
from the date it is enacted.
