SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Family Law

14-101.

(n) "Review board" means the [disabled person's] ADULT
PUBLIC GUARDIANSHIP review board.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 434.

This bill provides for an alternative method of selecting the
appointed Senate and House members of the Legislative Policy
Committee when a single member holds two of the leadership
positions which, by reason of those positions, are entitled to
membership on the Committee.

Senate Bill 277, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on April 12, 1988, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 434.
