return the employee to work, and increases from 10 to 15 days
from the date of notification the time in which a hearing may be
requested on the plan.

House Bill 888, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 27, 1988, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 752.

AN ACT concerning

Workers' Compensation - Vocational Rehabilitation

FOR the purpose of clarifying certain provisions of the workers'
compensation law relating to vocational rehabilitation;
increasing the maximum weekly maintenance allowance for
certain employees under certain circumstances; substituting
the term "vocational rehabilitation services" for the term
"vocational rehabilitation"; defining certain terms;
increasing the period of time in which certain persons can
request a hearing on certain issues; making technical
changes; and generally relating to the workers' compensation
law relating to vocational rehabilitation.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 101 - Workmen's Compensation

Section 36(8)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1985 Replacement Volume and 1987 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 101 - Workmen's Compensation

36.

Each employee (or in the case of death [his] THE EMPLOYEE'S
family or dependents) entitled to receive compensation under this
article shall receive the same in accordance with the following
schedule and except as in this article otherwise provided, such
payment shall be in lieu of any and all rights of action
whatsoever against any person whomsoever.
