January 1, 1988. A certificate of temporary certification issued
in accordance with the provisions of this Act shall be valid
until July 1, 1991.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Board of
Medical Examiners shall adopt standards specifying radiological
procedures that may be performed by individuals who are issued a
certificate of temporary certification under Section 2 of this
Act.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Board of
Medical Examiners shall develop, by July 1, 1989, a permanent
certification examination that is designed to evaluate minimum
cognitive skills and technical proficiency for uncertified
individuals employed, as of January 1, 1988, as medical radiation
technologists or nuclear medical technologists. The test
developed under this section shall be utilized by the Board until
July 1, 1991. -------------
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That notwithstanding
the requirements of Chapter 788 of the Laws of 1986, an
individual who, for 3 years or more, prior to the effective date
of the Act, has been a medical radiation technologist or nuclear
medical technologist is not required to obtain certification from
the Board of Medical Examiners to continue practicing the
individual's profession.
SECTION 3 2 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1988.

vocational rehabilitation plan for an injured employee that
includes assessment and recommendations for services necessary to
