Ch. 648

LAWS OF MARYLAND

(2) THE STATE BOARD MAY REINSTATE THE STATE LICENSE
UNDER PARAGRAPH (1)(II) OF THIS SUBSECTION ONLY IF THE MASTER
ELECTRICIAN:

OF THIS SUBTITLE;

(II)  SHOWS TO THE STATE BOARD JUST CAUSE WHY

COMMITTEE COMMENT: This section is new language derived
from former Art. 56, § 537(b) and (c).

In the introductory language of subsection (a) of this
section, the limitation "who is not on active status"
is added for clarity.

In subsection (b)(1)(i) of this section, the reference
to "comply with the examination requirements for a
State license under § 2-304 of this subtitle" is
substituted for the former reference to "reapply in
the same manner as an applicant applies for an
original license under this subtitle", to reflect the
current interpretation of the State Board.

Defined terms: "Local license" § 2-101

"Master electrician" § 2-101

"State Board" § 2-101 "State license" § 2-101

2-313. ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR.

AN INDIVIDUAL MAY NOT HAVE ANY FINANCIAL INTEREST IN ANY
ELECTRICAL BUSINESS WHILE EMPLOYED BY THE STATE, A COUNTY, OR A
LOCAL GOVERNMENT AS AN ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR.
