In subsection (a)(3) of this section, the reference to
"active State license" is substituted for the former
reference to "valid electrical license", for clarity.

"Local license" § 2-101 "Master electrician" § 2-101

"Provide electrical services" § 2-101

"State Board" § 2-101 "State license" § 2-101

2-312. REINSTATEMENT OF EXPIRED STATE LICENSES.

(A)  WITHIN 90 DAYS AFTER EXPIRATION.

THE STATE BOARD SHALL REINSTATE THE STATE LICENSE OF A
MASTER ELECTRICIAN WHO IS NOT ON INACTIVE STATUS AND WHO HAS
FAILED TO RENEW THE STATE LICENSE FOR ANY REASON, IF THE MASTER
ELECTRICIAN:

(1)  APPLIES FOR REINSTATEMENT WITHIN 90 DAYS AFTER
THE STATE LICENSE EXPIRES;

(2)  MEETS THE RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS OF § 2-310 OF THIS
SUBTITLE; AND

(3)  IN ADDITION TO THE RENEWAL FEE REQUIRED UNDER §
2-310 OF THIS SUBTITLE, PAYS TO THE STATE BOARD A REINSTATEMENT
FEE OF:

(I)  $100 FOR UP TO AND INCLUDING A 30-DAY LATE
RENEWAL;

(II)  $200 FOR UP TO AND INCLUDING A 60-DAY LATE
RENEWAL; OR

(III)  $300 FOR UP TO AND INCLUDING A 90-DAY
LATE RENEWAL.

(B)  MORE THAN 90 DAYS AFTER EXPIRATION.

(1) IF A MASTER ELECTRICIAN WHO HAS FAILED TO RENEW
THE STATE LICENSE FOR ANY REASON APPLIES FOR REINSTATEMENT MORE
THAN 90 DAYS AFTER THE STATE LICENSE HAS EXPIRED, THE STATE BOARD
MAY:

(I)  REQUIRE THE MASTER ELECTRICIAN TO COMPLY
WITH THE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR A STATE LICENSE UNDER §
2-304 OF THIS SUBTITLE; OR

(II)  SUBJECT TO PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, REINSTATE THE STATE LICENSE.
