THE STATE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A STATE LICENSE TO EACH APPLICANT WHO
MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE.

(C) CONTENTS.

THE STATE BOARD SHALL INCLUDE ON EACH STATE LICENSE THAT THE
STATE BOARD ISSUES:

(1)  THE NAME OF THE LICENSEE; AND

(2)  IF THE LICENSEE ASSIGNS A LOCAL LICENSE TO
ANOTHER PERSON WHO ENGAGES IN THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING
ELECTRICAL SERVICES, THE NAME OF THE PERSON.

COMMITTEE COMMENT: Subsection (a)(1) of this section is new
language added to state expressly that the Board is
required to give notice to qualified applicants. This
addition conforms to the current practice of the State
Board.

Subsection (a)(2)(i) of this section is new language
derived from former Art. 56, § 536(a) and rephrased as
part of the notice requirement.

Subsection (a)(2)(ii) of this section is new language
added for clarity.

Subsection (b)(1) of this section is new language
added to accommodate the wishes of the State Board for
a mechanism by which it may track the person to whom a
local license is assigned.

Subsection (b)(2) of this section is new language
derived from the eighth sentence of former Art. 56, §
534(d) and, except as it related to renewal, § 535(b).

Subsection (c) of this section is new language derived
from the ninth sentence of former Art. 56, § 534(d).

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the reference to
"receipt of the proof of insurance required under §
2-604 of this title" is substituted for the former
references to "receipt of an application", "the
applicant has passed", and "compliance by the
applicant with the requirements of § 535 of this
subtitle", for clarity. This substitution reflects
the current practice of the State Board.

Also in subsection (b)(2) of this section, the former
word "initial" is deleted as surplusage.

Subsection (c) of this section is revised to require
inclusion of the names of the licensee and of the
