(III) REQUIRE AN APPLIANCE INSTALLER TO POST A
PERFORMANCE BOND; AND

(IV) DEFINE "APPLIANCE" AND "WORK INCIDENTAL TO
THE INSTALLATION OF APPLIANCES".
                                             

SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 462
of Article 56 - Licenses of the Annotated Code of Maryland be
transferred to be Section(s) 2-13-21B of Article 11 - Frederick
County of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland.

SECTION 7 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s)
444(a) and (c), 445 through 454, 456, 458 through 461, and 462A
through 462C, and the subtitle "Plumbing" of Article 56 -
Licenses of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed.

SECTION 8 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the committee
comments and catchlines contained in this Act are not law and may
not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this Act.

SECTION 9 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That nothing in
this Act affects the term of office of an appointed or elected
member of any department, board, commission, committee, agency,
or other unit. An individual who is a member of a unit on the
effective date of this Act shall remain a member for the balance
of the term to which appointed or elected, unless the member
sooner dies, resigns, or is removed under provisions of law.

SECTION 10 11. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act that set qualifications for individuals
appointed or employed by the State, a county, or a local
government as a plumbing inspector, except for those provisions
relating to yearly attendance at a continuing education course,
may not be construed to affect any individual so employed as of
the effective date of this Act, and each of those individuals
shall continue to be so employed until the individual dies,
resigns, or is removed under other provisions of law.

SECTION 11 12. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That any
individual who, on the effective date of this Act, is licensed by
the Washington County Plumbing Board to provide or assist in
providing plumbing services in Washington County, may apply to
the State Board of Plumbing for a limited license, pay the
appropriate application fee, and, if contracting to provide
plumbing services in the name of the applicant or another person,
submit proof of liability insurance as required under this Act,
and, if the application is made within 6 months after the
