Ch. 647
LAWS OF MARYLAND
Miscellaneous Provisions:
I. Transfers.
Numerous provisions affected only one or two counties.
Those provisions are transferred to the appropriate article of
the Public Local Laws or, for Montgomery and Prince George's
Counties, to Art. 29 of the Code.
Former Art. 56, § 444(b), which required utility work in
Carroll and Frederick counties to be performed by a licensed
utility contractor or master plumber, now appears as § 3-23(b) of
the Public Local Laws of Carroll County, Article 7 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1976 Edition and 1987 Supplement, as
amended), and as § 2-13-21A of the Public Local Laws of Frederick
County, Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1979 Edition and October, 1987 Supplement, as amended).
Former Art. 56, § 455(a) through (c), which made plumbers in
Montgomery and Prince George's counties subject to the
jurisdiction of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, now
appears as Art. 29, § 8-104 of the Code. See also § 3-305 of
this title.
The second clause of the second sentence of former Art. 56,
§ 457, as it related to the waiver of the examination requirement
for persons holding licenses issued by the Board, now appears as
§ 23-8(3) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County,
Article 3 of the Code of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1978
Edition and 1986 Supplement, as amended). The balance of former
§ 457 and the second through eighth sentences of § 456, which
created a Baltimore County plumbing board and provided licensing
fees, are deleted as obsolete in light of later enacted
provisions in §§ 23-4 through 23-36 of the Baltimore County Code
(1978 Edition and 1986 Cumulative Supplement as amended).
Former Art. 56, § 462, which allowed the Board of County
Commissioners of Frederick County to license appliance
installers, now appears as § 2-13-21B of the Public Local Laws of
Frederick County, Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1979 Edition and October, 1987 Supplement, as amended).
II. Deletions.
Former Art. 56, § 444(c), which required the Board to issue
maintenance plumber's certificates to Carroll County applicants,
is deleted as obsolete.

Commissioners of Charles County to license as a master plumber
residents of the County who had worked as licensed journey
