communications are unlawfully intercepted to recover certain
relief in certain actions; providing a certain defense to
certain actions; establishing a statute of limitations for
certain actions; authorizing certain prosecutors to initiate
certain actions under certain circumstances; defining
certain terms; altering certain definitions; providing
certain actions relating to certain electronic
communications in electronic storage; authorizing the
disclosure of certain electronic communications in
electronic storage under certain circumstances; providing
for backup preservation of certain electronic communications
under certain circumstances; providing for notice to certain
subscribers and customers; providing certain procedures for
challenging certain subpoenas and court orders; authorizing
a delay of notice to certain subscribers arid customers;
requiring certain service providers to provide certain
information and assistance to investigative and law
enforcement officers; authorizing certain persons aggrieved
by violations of the provisions of this Act to recover
certain relief; authorizing the installation or use of a pen
register or trap and trace device under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to wiretapping,
electronic surveillance, and electronic communications.
