LAWS OF MARYLAND

SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENT: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
214(a), as it related to the executive director of the
Commission on October 1, 1988. These provisions are
retained in the Session Laws to protect the status of
the executive director of the Commission on the date
of the enactment of the comprehensive revision of the

Maryland Real Estate Brokers Act under Ch. ___, Acts

of 1988. The provisions of former Art. 56, § 214(a),
as that subsection related to an executive director
appointed on or after July 1, 1983, are codified in
Art. 56A, § 4-205.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Departments

8-102.

(a) The following departments, agencies, boards,
commissions, offices, divisions, and units of the State
government shall be included within the Department of Licensing
and Regulation: the State Athletic Commission, the Banking Board,
the Bank Regulations Board, the Bank Commissioner, the Board of
Savings and Loan Commissioners, the Division of Savings and Loan
Associations, the State of Maryland Deposit Insurance Fund
Corporation, the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, the
Insurance Division, the Commissioner of Consumer Credit, the
Maryland State Board of Censors, the Maryland Racing Commission,
the Maryland Race Fund Advisory Committee, the STATE Real Estate
Commission, the Real Estate Hearing Board, the Board of Boiler
Rules, the Board of Barber Examiners, the State Board of
Examining Engineers, the Board of Examining Moving Picture
Machine Operators, the Board of Electrical Examiners and
Supervisors, the State Board of Commissioners of Practical
Plumbing, the Maryland Architectural Registration Board, the
State Board of Cosmetologists, the Board of Registration for
Professional Engineers, the Board of Registration for
Professional Land Surveyors, the Maryland State Board of Public
Accountancy, the Board of Inspection of Horse Riding Stables, the
Board of Examiners for Maryland Pilots, the Division of Labor and
Industry, the Office of Commissioner of Labor and Industry, the
Advisory Council on Prevailing Wage Rates, the Advisory Committee
on the Wage and Hour Law, the Occupational Health and Safety
Advisory Board, the Employment Agency Advisory Board, the
Maryland Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects, the State
Board of Registration for Foresters, and such other agencies,
boards, commissions, councils, offices, or units of government as
may hereafter pursuant to law be declared to be part of the
Department of Licensing and Regulation.
