THIS TITLE:

OF ANY PROVISION OF THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS OF

(1)  § 4-608 ["BLOCKBUSTING"];

(2)  § 4-524 ["DISCRIMINATORY REAL ESTATE PRACTICES IN
BALTIMORE CITY"]; AND

(3)  § 4-525 ["DISCRIMINATORY REAL ESTATE PRACTICES IN
MONTGOMERY COUNTY"].

SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENT: This section is new language
derived without substantive change from former Art.
56, § 230A(c)(2), the second clause of § 230D(h), and
the second clause of § 230E(g).

In the introductory language of this section, the
reference to an "associate real estate broker" is
added in conformity with provisions added throughout
this title to provide a licensing scheme for associate
real estate brokers. See the General Subcommittee
Comment to this title.

Also in the introductory language of this section, the
word "report" is substituted for the former word
"refer", for clarity.

SUBTITLE 7. SHORT TITLE; TERMINATION OF TITLE.

4-701. SHORT TITLE.

THIS TITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND REAL ESTATE BROKERS
ACT".

SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENT: This section is new language added to
conform to similar sections in other titles of this
article and to provide a convenient reference to this
title.

4-702. TERMINATION OF TITLE.

SUBJECT TO THE EVALUATION AND REESTABLISHMENT PROVISIONS OF
THE MARYLAND PROGRAM EVALUATION ACT, THIS TITLE AND ALL RULES AND
ALL REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS TITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE
OF NO EFFECT AFTER JULY 1, 1992.
