(5) IF AFFILIATED WITH A LICENSED REAL ESTATE BROKER,
NOTIFIES THE COMMISSION OF THE NAME OF THE EACH REAL ESTATE
BROKER WITH WHOM THE LICENSEE THEN IS AFFILIATED.

(E)  RENEWAL.

THE COMMISSION SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF AND ISSUE A
RENEWAL CERTIFICATE AND POCKET CARD TO EACH LICENSEE WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

(F)  GRACE PERIOD.

ON APPLICATION PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF A LICENSE, THE
COMMISSION MAY GRANT A LICENSEE A GRACE PERIOD OF NO MORE THAN 60
DAYS IN WHICH TO RENEW THE LICENSE OF THE LICENSEE RETROACTIVELY.

SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENT: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
former Art. 56, § 230(b).

Subsection (b) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
230(c).

Subsection (c) of this section, which provides for
renewal notice, is new language added to conform to
current Board practice and to similar provisions
governing other State regulated occupations.

Subsection (d)(1) of this section is new language
added to state expressly that which was only implied
in the former law — i.e., that to renew a license a
licensee must otherwise be entitled to be licensed.

Subsection (d)(2)(i) of this section is new language
derived in part without substantive change from former
Art. 56, § 223(a), as it related to the renewal fee
for a real estate broker license, and the introductory
language of that section. This item has been revised,
on the recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee on the
Business Occupations Article, to establish a uniform
renewal fee for resident and nonresident licensees in
conformity with changes in the fee structure made
throughout this title. See the General Subcommittee
Comment to this title.

Subsection (d)(2)(ii) of this section is new language
substituted, on the recommendation of the Joint
Subcommittee on the Business Occupations Article, for
former Art. 56, § 223(c), as it related to the renewal
fee for an associate real estate broker license, and
the introductory language of that section. The new
language increases the application fee for an
