WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor

Ch. 563

(7)  IF THE APPLICANT CURRENTLY IS LICENSED AS A REAL
ESTATE SALESPERSON OR AN ASSOCIATE REAL ESTATE BROKER, SUBMIT TO
THE COMMISSION A COPY OF THE WRITTEN NOTICE REQUIRED UNDER §
4-313 OF THIS SUBTITLE INFORMING EACH REAL ESTATE BROKER WITH
WHOM THE APPLICANT CURRENTLY IS AFFILIATED THAT THE APPLICANT
INTENDS TO AFFILIATE WITH AN ADDITIONAL REAL ESTATE BROKER OR TO
OBTAIN A REAL ESTATE BROKER LICENSE;

(8)  IF THE APPLICANT IS NOT A RESIDENT OF THIS STATE,
SUBMIT TO THE COMMISSION A CONSENT AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENT
REQUIRED UNDER § 4-514 OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(9)  SUBMIT TO THE COMMISSION ANY ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION OR DOCUMENTATION THAT THE COMMISSION REQUIRES,
INCLUDING ANY INFORMATION OR DOCUMENTATION TO DETERMINE THE
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OR THE GOOD CHARACTER AND REPUTATION OF
THE APPLICANT.

SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENT: Item (1) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from the
first clause of former Art. 56, § 217(b).

Item (2) of this section is new language added to
state expressly that an applicant is required to
submit a copy of the examination results of the
applicant to the Commission. This conforms to the
current practice of the Commission.

Item (3) of this section is new language added as a
reference to former Art. 56, § 217A(f) — now §
4-403(a) of this title — which required any
individual "entitled to receive a license" to pay into
the Guaranty Fund. In conformity with current
practice, item (3) of this section is revised to apply
to every applicant, whether or not entitled to a
license.

Item (4) of this section is new language substituted
for former Art. 56, § 218(c) and, as it related to the
application fees, § 223(a), (c), and (d), on the
recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee on the
Business Occupations Article, to increase the
application fees for a real estate broker license and
a real estate salesperson license to $80 and $30,
respectively, for consistency with the renewal fees
for those licenses, and to increase the application
fee for an associate real estate broker license to $50
to establish an application fee that is commensurate
with the intermediate status of an associate real
estate broker license. In addition, on the
recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee, item (4) of
this section establishes uniform application fees for
resident and nonresident applicants, in conformity
