In subsection (a)(2)(ii), the defined term "consumer
member[s]" is substituted for the former reference to
"other members ... appointed from the State of
Maryland, at large", for clarity.

In subsection (a)(3)(i), (ii), (iv), and (v) of this
section, the former general references to the "Eastern
Shore", "Central Maryland", "Southern Maryland", and
"Western Maryland" are deleted as unnecessary in light
of the lists of specific counties comprising those
areas.

In subsection (c)(1) of this section, the reference to
"any of the counties" in the area is added to clarify
that, during the 5-year period, a professional member
of the Commission may be a resident of any of the
counties in the specific geographic area.

In subsection (c)(2) of this section, the former
exception "until May 31, 1967, the chief of the
license bureau" is deleted as obsolete.

The first sentence of former Art. 56, § 213(c), which
ensured the status of the incumbent Commission members
as of a prior enactment, is deleted as obsolete.

The second clause of the second sentence of former
Art. 56, § 213(c), which required vacancies to be
filled "so that said Commission shall continue to
consist of eight persons as aforesaid", is deleted as
surplusage.".
