money mortgage under certain circumstances; requiring

purchasers of certain property to take the property subject

to certain assessments and meet certain repayment

installments; requiring all moneys repaid to the State from

certain assessments to be returned to the Waterway

improvement Fund and used for certain purposes; specifying
that payment of certain installments is sufficient to allow
for recording the transfer of certain purposes; requiring
the Department of Natural Resources to notify certain tax

officials at a certain time concerning certain tax

assessments; providing for the release of certain liens
under certain circumstances; requiring the Department of
Natural Resources to include certain information in its
annual budget request; and generally relating to the use of
Waterway Improvement Funds to provide interest-free loans to
finance certain dredging projects.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) A governing body may establish  and designate areas of

land or water within its jurisdiction as     waterways improvement

districts, subject to the provisions of   subsection (c) of this
section.
