Section 1(3)(E)(2)
(a) Headquarters:
(6) To provide funds for preliminary planning to
accelerate the Governor's master plan for
prison construction or renovation by twelve
months. Provided that a Joint Executive
Legislative Task Force be created to study
the issue of additional construction and/or
renovation of correctional facilities. The
Task Force shall report to the 1986 General
Assembly with respect to a new prison and/or
renovation or replacement . of the House of
Correction. THE AMOUNT OF FUNDS IN THIS
APPROPRIATION NOT ENCUMBERED FOR THE PURPOSE
IDENTIFIED ABOVE AS OF JUNE 1, 1988 SHALL BE
USED TO PROVIDE A PORTION OF THE FUNDS TO
DESIGN, CONSTRUCT, AND EQUIP A 19 2-CELL
MEDIUM SECURITY HOUSING UNIT AT ROXBURY
CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION (WASHINGTON COUNTY)......

(c) Maryland Penitentiary (Baltimore City):
(1) Renovate South Wing, provided that no funds
may be expended until the Department of
Public Safety and Correctional Services
completes a capital facilities plan and the
budget committees review that plan and
release the funds. THE AMOUNT OF FUNDS IN
THIS APPROPRIATION NOT ENCUMBERED FOR THE
PURPOSES IDENTIFIED ABOVE AS OF JUNE 1, 1988
SHALL BE USED TO PROVIDE A PORTION OF THE
FUNDS TO DESIGN, CONSTRUCT, AND EQUIP A
192-CELL MEDIUM SECURITY HOUSING UNIT AT
ROXBURY CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION (WASHINGTON
COUNTY)...........................................
