(c) Any person who violates any provision of this section
is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine
not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or
both.
Article - State Finance and Procurement
3-401.
(a) This subtitle does not apply to changes relating to or
the purchase, lease, or rental of mechanical or electronic
information processing equipment or associated services by the
University College of the University of Maryland for use in
University College overseas programs OR BY THE MARYLAND PORT
ADMINISTRATION.
3-501.
This subtitle does not apply to the purchase, lease, or
rental of motor vehicles by the University College of the
University of Maryland for use in University College overseas
programs OR BY THE MARYLAND PORT ADMINISTRATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:
Article - State Finance and Procurement
11-101.
(p) "Department" means the State Treasurer, the Department
of General Services, the Department of Transportation, the
Department of Budget and Fiscal Planning, [or] the University of
Maryland, OR THE MARYLAND PORT COMMISSION.
11-105.
(d) Subject to this Division II and the authority of the
Board set forth in subsection (b) of this section, jurisdiction
over procurements is as follows:
(6) MARYLAND PORT COMMISSION: AUTHORITY TO PROCURE,
WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF ANY OTHER DEPARTMENT:
(I) SUPPLIES FOR THE MARYLAND PORT
ADMINISTRATION, INCLUDING AUTOMOBILES AND INFORMATION PROCESSING
SUPPLIES, BUT EXCLUDING SUPPLIES FUNDED BY STATE GENERAL
OBLIGATION BOND PROCEEDS AND INSURANCE;
(II) SERVICES FOR THE MARYLAND PORT
ADMINISTRATION, INCLUDING INFORMATION PROCESSING SERVICES, BUT
EXCLUDING BANKING, INSURANCE, AND FINANCIAL SERVICES UNDER THE
