AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Alcoholic Beverages License - Seasonal Use

FOR the purpose of including Charles County in the provisions of
law that authorize a seasonal use of an alcoholic beverages
license under certain circumstances.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 75(e)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

75.

(e) (1) In CHARLES AND Wicomico [County] COUNTIES, if the
board of license commissioners IN THE RESPECTIVE COUNTY
determines that a licensed premise UNDER ITS JURISDICTION is
seasonally operated, the RESPECTIVE COUNTY board may authorize
the closing of the premises IN ITS RESPECTIVE JURISDICTION for no
more than 6 months.

(2) To qualify for this exception, the licensee shall
submit a written request to the RESPECTIVE COUNTY board of
license commissioners at least 30 days before the anticipated
date of closing.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.
